DIY wrapping paper with matching card using Waffle Flower Stamps and Xyron

Hey, welcome back !.  How is the summer going for you so far?.  I'm making the most of the couple of dry days that we get to call summer here in Ireland.  Secretly though I'm kinda happy when it rains because it means that I have an excuse to stay indoors and create.

This week's project is a quick showing of how you can coordinate your handmade cards with some handmade wrapping paper.  I love large stamps, particularly mandala style stamps and this lush Lacy Flower Stamp stamp by Waffle Flower is just perfect.

So how would you like to get your hands on your very own Creative Station Lite?, well you are in luck because over on the Waffle Flower Blog they are having a giveaway, hop on over to see some more creative inspirations and and say hi to win..........but the fun doesn't stop there because also this week on the Xyron Facebook page they will be giving away a Waffle Flower prize pack.  To enter comment on any or all of the Waffle Flower projects on the page this week and you will be in the draw.

So below you will see how I created this weeks project.
I have used it with two different coloring mediums.  The first was alcohol markers on the card and for the wrapping paper I used Ken Oliver Color Burst pigment powders to shabby color the Mandala's.

And of course I have used my Xyron Mega Runner to help wrap my gifts and assemble my cards.

Supplies

Spectrum Noir Pens
StazOn Black Ink
White and Kraft Neenah Cardstock (great for alcohol pen work)
Black Kraft Card
Black Ribbon

Making the wrapping paper:

I have used A4 card here but you can use any size paper as required, hey why not even try it on the walls at home, lampshades, fabric all are great for a home decor project.
So i stamped, colored with the Ken Oliver Color Burst, wrapped and added ribbon !

Making the Card:

So basically I stamped and colored using the alcohol pens, trimmed to size and mounted onto a piece of the black kraft card using the Xyron mega runner and added this topper to card blank.  I have also done this on Neenah Kraft card, two different color effects but both equally striking.
