Sparkle Frame using Xyron and Chibitronics

I had so much fun this week because I got to add a something rather special to my projects.  Xyron has partnered with Chibitronics and their super fun LED Lighting Circuit Kits.  To see some more amazing projects head on over to the Chibitronics Blog, all this week they will be featuring the Xyron designers and their projects.

I added a little sparkle to my framed sentiment, The frame is from IKEA and by adding foam tape between the mount board and the backing paper it allowed me to add lights to the corners and then behind the sentiment, making the letters sparkle.  The new DCWV Classy Copper is perfect for reflecting the light out.

Supplies

White Cardstock
IKEA Frame

How it's Made

Remove mount board from the frame and add a layer around the inside edge
Create a parallel circuit (instructions here) on the inside of the foam, all a light to each corner and test.
Place the High Tack Tape around the top edge of the foam, turn over the mount board and place it down on the copper backing paper.
Using the Xyron Creative Station Lite add a centre piece of patterned backing paper.
For the topper pierce holes at points on the lettering, place the topper on a pre-cut piece of card and mark the holes.

Using the hole marks as a guide create another Parallel Circuit and then glue the topper over it, ensuring that the holes line up with the lights.
Before adding this topper to the center of the project cut out a 2" x 2" piece right the way through, this will allow access to the battery.
Finish and frame.
