How it's made
Supplies all ready to go!
Here is the rather floral and sorry dated looking jewelry box ready for it's makeover!
Ohh faux velvet city !!!!!
Start by removing all the hardware and the mirror
Strip away the interior, keep the divider pieces as they will be re-covered and put back in.
Lightly sand all the edges and then spray paint
Once dry select the papers you want to use and get ready to cover !
Start with the lid and position paper. Mark around the edges, cut out and run through the Xyron 5" Creative Station.
Measure and cut the lining paper for the lid, inside and drawer and run all pieces through the Xyron 9" Creative Station.
Cover the lid and mark the original hinge holes in preparation for re-assembly.
Cover the inside and reattach the Lid
Cut out two toppers from the DCWV 'Tres Chic' stack and remove the centre of the smaller topper.
Using the Xyron high Tack Double Sided Tape fix the mirror in place.
Time to spray the handles, using putty or blue tack stand them upright and spray with black enamel spray
While the handles are drying cover the inner dividers in matching paper and fix back in place
To cover the drawer fronts cut four black card pieces and four from the matching exterior paper and using the Xyron 1.5" Create a Sticker fix in place.
Fix the handles in place.
Time to embellish !
Follow the pearls pattern of the paper with gems
Add gems to the drawer fronts
Finished interior
