Father's Day Gift Box with Xyron
I find it harder every year to think of something fun for the kids to make for Father's Day. This year we decided to stick with the up-cycling tradition and make a treats box. You could use it as a gift box, desk caddy, the possibilities are endless. So grab your Xyron and let's go!
Supplies
Odlums Flower Tub
Instructions
The 12 x 12 sheet won't be wide enough to wrap completely around the tub, so just measure the height of the tub and trim the cork
Run the Cork through the Xyron Creative Station and wrap around the tub. Cut a smaller piece to patch up the back.
Cut a smaller piece of cork and using the Xyron 3" Sticker Maker adhere it to the lid.
To decorate the center of the tub cut three contrasting strips of paper, decreasing in height and layer around the center of the tub.
The chipboard letters run smoothly through the Xyron 3" Sticker Maker, lay them face down on the reverse of your chosen patterned paper.
Cut around the letters with a craft knife and turn over.
Run letters back through the Xyron 3" Sticker maker face up to add adhesive to the reverse of the letters. The letters did come with gum strips on the reverse but I wanted edge to edge adhesion.
Add the letters to a die cut panel and then adhere to the front of the box. Finish with some coloured twine and a gift tag.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, make sure to follow Xyron on Facebook
I'm also on facebook and if you want to stop by and say hi !
See you again soon.

Nice work, where did you buy the cork sheets ? I really need them. Thanks, Jack.
ReplyDeleteHi jack, thanks for your comment. Can I ask your location so I can point you in the right direction of a stockist?. They come from the DCWV 12 x 12 Cork Stack.
